Information collected is from registered forms on our site. When applying online or making payment, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e- mail address, credit card information, and other private information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased service requested by the customer.

Terms of Use
By applying to our service, you consent to our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, COVID-19 Policies & Procedures, and all information listed in our designated Handbooks.
By using the Homestay Santa Monica website (‘Site’), you acknowledge and agree that Internet transmissions are never completely private or secure. You understand that any message or information you send to the Site may be read or intercepted by others, even if there is a special notice that a particular transmission (for example, credit card information) is encrypted.
You may not probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Site or any network connected to the Site, nor breach the security or authentication measures on the Site or any network connected to the Site. You may not reverse look-up, trace or seek to trace any information on any other user of or visitor to the Site, or any other customer of Homestay Santa Monica, or exploit the Site or any service or information made available or offered by or through the Site, in any way where the purpose is to reveal any information, including but not limited to personal identification or information, other than your own information, as provided for by the Site.
You agree not to use any device, software or routine to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the Site or any transaction being conducted on the Site, or with any other person’s use of the Site.
You may not use the Site or any Content for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms of Use, or to solicit the performance of any illegal activity or other activity which infringes the rights of Homestay Santa Monica or others.
Homestay Santa Monica may make changes to any services offered on the Site, or to the applicable prices for any such products or services, at any time, without notice. The materials on the Site with respect to services may be out of date, and Homestay Santa Monica makes no commitment to update the materials on the Site with respect to such services.
In terms of the use of our service, customers requesting our service consent to allowing Homestay Santa Monica to save and store their personal information and credit card information to provide service to them. There are no refunds.
Terms of The Service
Payment for homestay must be made at least 14 days (2 weeks) prior to arrival. This payment can be made either in full, monthly, or weekly installments. Students in the Minors Program must make payment in full or monthly installments.
For every payment, Homestay Santa Monica will issue you an invoice with a corresponding due date. You authorize Homestay Santa Monica to automatically charge your credit card if it is not paid by the due date. Late fees of 10% of invoice may incur weekly if they are not paid on time.
Third party students are expected to abide by all the same Homestay Santa Monica policies and procedures, Terms & Conditions, and handbooks.
For all students:
If student leaves Homestay for vacation or some break, but plans to return to Homestay afterwards, payment must be made for the entire duration to guarantee the same Homestay.
If student leaves Homestay for vacation or some break and does not make payment for that duration, student must submit online application again and may be placed in a different Homestay.
All participants in Homestay Santa Monica services must abide by the laws of the State of California and the United States of America.
Under Minors Program:
Individuals under the age of 18 who wish to use Homestay Santa Monica services are required to participate in the Minors Program.
The Minors Program is a program created specifically for minors, where Homestay Santa Monica connects you with a local host family that is willing to take up additional responsibilities accommodating minors. This does not mean that the host family is responsible for minor or their actions, nor are they the guardian of the minor unless otherwise designated.
Termination
Homestay Santa Monica may terminate your access to the Site, without cause or notice, which may result in the forfeiture and destruction of all information associated with you. All provisions of the Terms & Conditions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
If, for any reason, we believe that you have not complied with our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, COVID-19 Policies & Procedures, and terms listed in our Handbooks, we may, at our sole discretion, cancel your access to the registration areas of the Homestay Santa Monica website immediately and without prior notice and we may terminate your application, at our sole discretion, by emailing you at the address you have registered stating that the agreement has terminated.
Limitation of Liability
Except where prohibited by law, in no event will Homestay Santa Monica be liable to you for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental or punitive damages, including lost profits, even if Homestay Santa Monica has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Indemnity:
You agree to indemnify and hold Homestay Santa Monica, its owners, officers, directors, shareholders, predecessors, successors in interest, employees, agents, hosts, host families, subsidiaries and affiliates harmless from any and all actual or alleged claims, demands, causes of action, liability, loss, expenses (including attorneys’ fees), damage and/or injury (to persons or property, including without limitation to wrongful death), made against Homestay Santa Monica by any third party due to or arising out of or in connection with your use of the Homestay Santa Monica site and service.
Homestay Santa Monica does not promise that the site or any content, service or feature of the site will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that any defects will be corrected, or that your use of the site will provide specific results. The site and its content are delivered on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis.
All information provided on the site is subject to change without notice. Accommodation rates are subject to change without notice. Rates may vary by season and availability. Registration and Placement fees are non-refundable.
Accommodations are not owned or operated by Homestay Santa Monica.
Homestay Santa Monica cannot ensure that any files or other data you download from the site will be free of viruses or contamination or destructive features. Homestay Santa Monica disclaims any and all liability for the acts, omissions and conduct of any third parties in connection with or related to your use of the site and/or any Homestay Santa Monica services. You assume total responsibility for your use of the site and any linked sites.
By accessing or using the Homestay Santa Monica website or the Homestay Santa Monica service (together, the “Service”), however, accessed, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions (“Terms & Conditions”). The Service is owned or controlled by Homestay Santa Monica. These Terms of Use affect your legal rights and obligations.
